SLAC Mission and Objective

To ensure that the library is providing an inclusive environment with resources, facilities and services conducive to student learning and success.


The Student Library Advisory Council (SLAC) is a student run committee that meets regularly to discuss and seek resolution and improvement on all matters relating to the Campus Library.   The Library Director consults with the committee chair or co-chairs to develop agendas and schedule meetings.  Council member activity may include:

  • Offering a student perspective on library issues
  • Developing and deploying awareness campaigns
  • Serving as library ambassadors during open houses
  • Eliciting periodic feedback from student’s through ‘hallway’ mini surveys
